Which is worse for you...Diet Coke or urine?
So yesterday after we dropped a change of clothes off to Todd at MIT for a meeting he had, we got stuck in the most horrendous traffic jam. What normally takes me 15 minutes took 2 hours. Anyway, the boys were very good considering the awful situation, but at one point Toby needed to go to the bathroom, so we did what we usually do and pulled out an empty Propel bottle for him to relieve himself in. He has grown quite accustomed to this way of potty breaks, as we don't like to pull over for it. Anyway, today I was running errands and going in and out of the car and kept saying to myself, "throw the propel bottle away," but my arms were always full. We picked up Todd from the train station this evening and when I cleared off the passenger seat for him I placed the urine-filled bottle in the cup holder. As Todd and I were catching each other up on our day I didn't notice that he grabbed the bottle and took a swig!!!!! You can imagine his reaction and then mine as he exclaimed, "Sick, this is gross, what is this?" I couldn't answer him for a good thirty seconds because I realized what he'd just done and was laughing and crying simultaneously. He quickly ran into the drug store and bought a Gatorade, but said it still tasted like pee. Next time I'll throw it away.

Oh, I needed to end today with a good laugh. I think I threw up a little bit reading that. Hopefully Toby is well hydrated so it was at least diluted some. Are you planning to kiss that mouth any time soon, Ashley??
You didn't even have to post a picture with this one. I saw the whole thing!
That made my week.
Thanks for the laugh!!
YIKES!!!I can't tell you how many times I've worried about that happening!!! Thanks Todd. I think your experience will serve as an effective warning to prevent that accident from occurring here.
classic. that is the funniest thing i have heard all day.
That is TERRIBLE!!!
eeeeeewwwwwwww....
Nancy and I read your latest post and I don't believe I have heard her laugh so hard for years. A truly funny story! I'll bet Todd smells everything before he tastes it from now on. At least while riding in the van.
Glad to know someone else uses a bottle for their little boys. It has come in handy many times. But there is always the fear of what happened to poor Todd. What a hilarious story! Glad it wasn't me!
That is absolutly disgusting! I am remebering having a conversation with you when we were all in Cancun about you using the pee in the bottle trick for your boys. I thought it was really brave that you could do that and now I really think that Todd is the brave one. You would think that with all of the mouse pee that Todd has worked with at MIT he would be accustomed to it by now... I am still laughing.
Way too funny! You'll never forget that story!
Hilarious! Seriously I am dying laughing!
That was the best story. Ever. So, so funny.
pro"pee"l
WOW! I think tears are running down my face. HILARIOUS!
Seriously, my two year old just stared at me all annoyed that I'm laughing so loud while she's trying to watch My Friends Tigger and Pooh. This is why you blog- so you NEVER lose a story like that.
Too hilarious! It reminds me of the good old movie Dumb and Dumber! And I thought my parents were the only ones who did that to my brothers. It's good to know they aren't that weird.
I found the perfect thing for you! :)
