Gobble Gobble

We spent Thanksgiving week in NY with Todd's family. Jason and Kim came up from North Carolina and the boys had a great time reconnecting with their long-lost pal/cousin Ethan and also got to meet there newest cousin, baby Colin. Toby really took a liking to him. I think he's really excited for his new baby brother to arrive. Ben on the other hand was very jealous when Grammy would hold Colin. Ben is Grammy's biggest fan, probably largely because she is a sucker for his big brown eyes and will give him anything he asks for including making him a piece of birthday cake at 9 am and even lighting a candle and singing to him.

Once again the Harris' outdid themselves and would have made Martha proud with the way they celebrate Thanksgiving. No detail is left unthought of, down to the organic turkey they pick out weeks before on a local free range farm not too far from Martha's own home. We also had our friends Mason and Whitney Fink and their darling little Riley there for the holiday. We had a great time and are still recovering from all that good food we ate. We have a lot to be thankful for this year!

Toby and Ben on the freezing cold tram ride around the NY Botanical Gardens. Can you tell how Ben felt about it?

Every year they have this great train exhibit. The boys thought they'd died and gone to train heaven.

You are right on Ashley...it's those big brown eyes that get me everytime. We loved having your sweet family here for the holiday!

PS I also noticed the work done on the picture of Ben. Nice... you probably learned how to do that in that sweet photography class you're taking!

It is wonderful you have Ann and Randy to show you what an organized, well planned Thanksgiving looks like. You sure didn't get that growing up. (Although this year we were pretty organized for once, but no free range turkey we picked out weeks ago! I miss those brown eyes myself as well as the impish look in Toby's eyes.)

It is so much fun having your family so near. Life in the Northeast continues to be a colorful, cultural and sometimes chilly adventure!

I'm sorry- I promise I'm not being nosy, but I was looking at the friends of Mitch and Lindsay Lundqist and came across your blog. I used to be in your mom and dad's ward and I just have to tell you how wonderful my husband and I think they are- we just love them! You and Nancy do look so much alike and yes she is so cute!! We miss them!
