Christmas Recap

We had a fabulous time in New York over Christmas. We are still recovering from our food hangover though. The boys have been eating a lot of green beans and whole wheat products for the last 4 days since we've been home. We're not complaining about the food so graciously prepared and accessible at the Harris home, we just needed to say goodbye for a little while. Best line ever was when Ann said to me: "Ashley, you look like you've gotten bigger since you've been here." Could it be because there is a bowl full of candy or chocolate turtles within arms reach where ever you're standing? I think we all got bigger that week.

Here is a pictorial recap of some of the other things we did:

Christmas Eve Dinner

After dinner, before dessert.

Thanks Ethan and Colin-this was awarded best gift this year!

What would Christmas be without matching pajamas?

Waiting for the subway in Washington D.C.

I love this kid!

Notice the White House in the background? Yeah, well neither did I the last 2 times I've come to D.C. Randy and I had a bet whether or not you could see the White House from the Washington Monument or not. This is me admitting I was wrong and he was right (a very rare occurence - so we had to take a picture to document it).

New Year's Eve--See what I mean? The chocolate never stops!

Toby's birthday gift from Grammy and Papa. He loves to draw and is quite good at it for his age. Oh and he's also a child prodigy and we are totally unbiased parents.

Toby was super stoked that he got to share his birthday with his Uncle Jared...they had some pretty sweet bonding moments this trip.

I love your recap. I can't seem to put just one picture myself. If you're going to sit down and do this it is nice to catch up. Your kids are so cute and your holidays full and fun. Thanks for sharing!

I'm so glad they liked the stomp rocket! I saw it and immediately thought of your boys.

Hey... my famiy used to dress up and act out the Nativity scene on Christmas Eve too (I imagine many do). I wanted to do it again this year but no one else was into it like me. I guess it makes a difference when you have kids.
