The Waiting Game...Aargh!

Why are pregnancies so long? I know it's going to happen but this is doing a mental job on me. Last Wednesday my doctor told me I was at a 3 and that I probably wouldn't last much longer. Why would she tell me that? Now every little contraction I feel I start to think, ok this is it. It is torture. It's even worse because the boys and I are stuck indoors because it's like 15 degrees outside. If I lived in the promised land (California...duh) I could at least be outside letting them run wild. We spend 14 hours of our day playing "polar bear" or "dinosaur". HELP ME.

Try playing "Polar Bear" outside. It will be much more realistic and maybe it will bring on labor. Grammy predicts baby Chase will make his debut this coming weekend(:

You could always do what I do when Maddie wants to play outside when it is cold. I wrap a big blanket around me like a mummy and sit my bum down on the hammock and don't move. Maddie runs circles around me with no coat on and snot down her face, but we are both happy.

My doctors did that with both my kids - told me it'll be any day now (and of course it never is). Stupid, stupid. Is the name really Chase? Love it!

Hang it there, he'll be here in no time! We're excited to hear when Chase finally comes.

I could bring Benson by and he could be the polar bear:) Check out the pictures I just posted on our blog!

I have been wondering how that little bun in the oven was doing!

Can't wait to hear when he comes and then to come on over and hold the little precious.

It's my fault. I have been praying Chase would stay in there a few more days while I finished up with Shelby and then got my home stuff in order. Sorry, Ashley, just a few more days. Can't wait to play Polar Bear (inside only!!) and Dinosaur.

Oh, I am so sorry. I detest the last 3 weeks of pregnancy. And January in Boston, for that matter. I'm wishing for you the most amazing post-partum experience ever (you deserve it). We can't wait to hear that he's arrived!

Just think of sleepless nights and constant feedings, but if that doesn't help try curry it really worked for Thomas. We went and got Thai food and 6 hours later I was in full on labor!!!

Yes, this waiting is killing us! We are anxiously waiting.

I'm sorry Ashley, but I just had to laugh when I read this. I am all too familiar will feeling trapped in "pretend land" for days at a time. I can only imagine it's even more fun 9 months pregnant. Can't wait until your little Chase can take his role as "the baby dinosaur".

It won't be long now!!! Sorry you are sad but just be glad you don't go 2 1/2 weeks OVERDUE like I did with Shannon (my one war story)...now THAT WAS LONG!!! Take care and can't wait to see little Chase. I'm counting on Grammy Ice Cream Cone sending me pics...love you all!

If it makes you feel any better, we live in CA and I still spend much of my day playing "elephant" and "alligator". But I don't have to actually BE the animal, just pretend one's in the house or on the trampoline... you?
