I am in love...

This little boy is the sweetest. I just can't get enough of him. I think that because my recovery has been so much easier this time around, I am able to enjoy these first days with my new baby a lot more. It also has helped to have my Mom and Todd around all week to pass my normal responsibilities off to. They have been so great. Back to Chase...he is a very sleepy baby during the day-no surprise-and then likes to be more awake from about 12am til 3am. Right now it's not so bad considering I can sleep in while someone else wakes up with Toby and Ben in the morning. But in a few days that will end as Todd will go back to his daily grind and my Mom will fly home to California. Unless, of course, if my oh-so-wonderful Mother in-law will come help for a few days...hint, hint.
We think Chase looks more and more like Todd. We got out his baby pictures and found a lot of similarities. In the beginning we thought he looked so much like Toby but once all that swelling went away he has his own look and not much of the same as either of his brothers. Speaking of which, they are loving having a little baby around, especially Toby. He wants to hold him all of the time and is so curious about all of the little things he does, most of all, burping. Toby is so paranoid of Chase barfing. He is sure that any noise he makes is going to result in him being drenched in spit up. We'll post pictures if that ever happens.

I am in love too! I want one. Still working on it.
Here is a little tip that may or may not work but might as well try...
Try swaddling him real tight at night and loose during the day. That way his jerks and movements will wake him more in the day and the swaddling will keep him snug and in one place at night. My sis told me this worked for hers. Never did try it out since Miles knew his day from night right away.
Well, he's a handsome little guy. I'm not surprised you two have produced another cutie!

Ashley and Todd- we are so excited for you. He is just adorable and we love his name...good job! I love your past post about taking all the boys on surfing trips..how fun. I always wanted a lot of girls but..since moving to our new digs...we have at least 10 boys in our yard every day throwing rotten tomatoes at our neighbors windows...trouble! Now I am wanting more trouble than tutu's. Keep the cute posts coming!

Ethan just loves looking at pictures of Chase. He has his own look, but he is definitely a Todd/Ashley kid. Keep posting pictures of the cutie!

Oh, and get your amazing, wonderful, energetic mother-in-law up there pronto. We need to maintain a record of post-partum help that I can be sure to capitalize on with kid #3.

Oh, Ash, he has such a cute little face - definitely a keeper! Give him a big smooch from his Aunt Lindsey. Just another one to miss!
