We Are a Happy Family

Chase is now 6 weeks old. We weighed him a couple days ago and he was at 11 lbs already. Not really surprised. It's well known that I produce cream instead of milk. He is doing better at night and has even done a 6 hour stretch. Loved that! He has brought much happiness into this little family. But at the same time let me just tell you what 3 boys is like. Craziness. Threats, threats, and more threats. All day long. Obviously not towards Chase, but Ben and Toby, I tell ya! The best is when your Mother in-law calls right in the middle of when you're about to tear their heads off and you have to pretend that you've got it all together. Yes that would be me today. I don't know how our Mothers survived raising 5 and 6 kids. Or how we survived for that matter. Or I think of my sister Sunny who has 7 (youngest being twins) and is now prego with #8. What the...?
Anyway, good thing for pictures that capture us all looking happy and pleasant. One day I'll post what we really look like most of the day.

PS. My tulips are coming up. Yeah!!!

Who took your photos? Are you using your skills from the photo class you took. I love them. As my saying goes, "Beware of the cute ones!"

What beautiful pictures! Chase is really his dad's boy--he continues to look like him. I think your boys are angels and you must just be hormonal still. They never gave me a minute of trouble.

That third picture of Chase... darling. He's making the cutest expression! When I'm around he's still sleeping most of the time or Benson is trying to eat him:)

Haha! Love that honesty, Ash. He is just adorable! We need to get together again so I can hold him. Riley was just as chunky at 6 weeks. I hope my baby is just like that. Hooray for your tulips coming up. I can't wait for spring!

Perhaps I should call more often for the sake of the children. I cannot imagine those sweet little boys ever causing trouble. Just remember that overactive little boys grow up to be smart, responsible, successful men and hang in there!

I really enjoy your blog. I can relate to your entry. However, when ever my mother-in-law calls I cannot hide the crying in the background. Why do kids fall apart when the phone rings? You are a great mom! I miss you! Love, Jenny

What the... Todd! You look so mature with your non-surfer bum hair-do. Why did you do that, it's not like you have a big fancy job coming up or anything. Ashley, your family is beautiful and I just want to steal that Chase of yours. He is soooo cute. I will take any of your boys actually. Send them my way, even for a week.

You two make some beautiful little boys Ashley. He is the cutest! (I mean that in the superilative... I'm not actually ranking your boys... that wouldn't be cool.)

Ashley he is beautiful! Three boys are ...uh... fun? Just wait until they get older and can destroy things together. Savor him being a baby. Savor it!

You look as good as ever! I'm always so jealous when I see you after your pregnancies and you're back to perfect.

If you ever want to commiserate about having three little boys, I'm here...
