Chase at 8 months

Before I do my ginormous catch up post covering the past two months since we moved from Boston I need to write a little about Chase. It really is so sad the first child gets so many details of their life recorded, while the second one gets about half as much detail recorded and then by your third you don't even notice if the pediatrician forgets to tell you what percentiles your kid's in! Life is so busy but I don't want to forget these precious months when he's so sweet and perfect in my eyes. They pass so fast and before you know it I'll be threatening to have Santa burn all of his Christmas toys if he gets out of bed one more time. I didn't really do that, right Toby and Ben? I would never be so cruel.

Chase has been a very sweet baby. Anyone can get a smile out of this kid at any time. He just lights right up when he sees you. It is very contagious. A lady riding the train into the city got up out of her seat to come sit by him and said this: "I have to come sit by this cute baby. I don't even like kids." So even the baby haters (there are lots here) like him-pretty good eh?

He now has 6 teeth. His bottom 2 came in first when he was 5 months old remember? Then his Edward-like vampire teeth came in and then his big old front 2 teeth came in. About the same time he decided the mushed up baby food was too juvenile for him and now only eats table foods and takes a bottle.

He is now crawling and getting around pretty quickly. He does the cute little rocking thing back and forth like he's revving up his engine and then he takes off. We call him Roomba a lot because he just goes around the house picking up all the crumbs and eating them...that and whatever else we track in on the bottom of our shoes. We're big believers in building up his immune system.

His newest trick is waving and saying, "Haw," or "Heddaw," when he does. Obviously he is a child prodigy and can already speak.

Todd returned back to New York after being gone for 4 weeks and after seeing how much I adore Chase he told me that I have a crush on my own child. I will confess that I think he's right. I just love this little guy.

What the heck?! How can he change that much already. You guys haven't been gone that long. I don't know what it is about the third kid, Ash, but although they don't get as many pictures and journal entries, I think they get more love. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the third. I remember you saying that too.

I have a crush on that darling, too, but it is a long distance one now. He melts my heart with his smile!

I feel the same way about Colin. I'm totally in love with him. I can't say no to him with a straight face because I think he's so darn cute! I'm hoping it eases up a little bit before he figures out how to use it against me.

Chase is adorable!

What's not to adore? He's got so much charm! Even last Sunday when he barfed buckets all over your dress in Sac. Mtg. he was still so darn cute!

Wow bucket at church... I want to hear the blog on that one!

Chase: He's a doll. I can't believe he's so big. Stop growing!

I can't wait to meet little Chase! His pictures are so cute! I'm kind of glad to hear that he too was a vampire...Mason has his two bottom teeth and his vampire teeth have just poked through. Too bad he is going to be a giraffe for halloween.

He seriously is SO cute! I especially love his little button nose. Jack is almost 7 months now and still no teeth for him. I can't believe Chase got them so early...just what every nursing mother needs!
