Officially Pedestrians!

Woohoo! Tonight we sold our other car! We've had our little passat wagon here with us and it was not ideal. Every Tuesday and Thursday we've had to move it between 11-12:30 for street sweeping. Doesn't sound so bad EXCEPT for the fact that parking spaces are like winning the lottery here in the city and so people just go out and sit in their cars for an hour and a half until the sweeper comes by, then they pull back into their spots. So if you want to park within walking distance of your apartment you have to play the game. Yeah, so that's been me, along with 3 little boys, just hanging out in the car until it's legal again to park. So what a relief it was to finally get that car sold. We walk everywhere anyway. I'm hoping my body gets used to it. Every night I'm sore from walking all day with these kids. It's great and we're loving it here.

Ash, you are a trooper! Right now the thought of walking everywhere KILLS me!! Glad to hear you don't have to sit in the car forever anymore waiting for the sweeper to come by.

Yeah! Carless...you are now real New Yorkers! Besides that...who needs a gym with the kind of workout you're all getting?

I can't wait to come walk with you. If you are sore, imagine me! One less "thing" to worry about. I wish my car wasn't my lifeline to the world.

The idea of walking everywhere with 3 little ones freaks me out. My boys only last about 15 minutes on a walk. Do your boys like all the walking?
