Go Away Winter

I feel like we're just getting back into real life after the holidays. We were so totally blessed to have Todd off for like 4 WEEKS!!! Don't worry folks, he still has a job. He finished a case right before Christmas, got 2 weeks off (what the?) and then wasn't staffed for another 2, or was it 3, weeks! We mostly loved it. Although I will confess he was starting to cramp my style at about the end of week 3 so I sent him into the office just so we could not feel so abnormal around here. Cause you know, we're all so normal usually.

Anyway, since Todd can never sit still and because we're all a little cooped up in our apartment we filled our days with fun New Yorkish stuff like taking a carriage ride through the park. The boys had been begging me to do it. I think it was somewhat anticlimactic for them, possibly because it was negative 500 degrees out.

The Jewish Community Center nearby has free Saturdays and the activities are perfect for my high-energy boys, lots of "tag" games.
It was hilarious watching these bigger kids try to fit through Ben's little legs. He loved every minute of it-once again Ben keeping up with the older kids.

We took them to the Children's Museum of Art in Soho and afterwards got some hot cocoa at a nearby Starbucks. We were decidedly the only 20 somethings with any, let alone 3, children. Makes you wonder...

Are we surprised? For those who don't know Todd well, he was given the gift of being able to fall asleep in any and all positions and places, with or without children in arms.

Looks like fun indoor activities for high energy boys. I'm on my way back to NY tomorrow morning. Please tell me it isn't still negative 500 degrees.

Adam had some mega time off too, and when he went back to work I was all, "what? I'm supposed to take care of the kid by myself?" I'm going through withdrawals. And each and every one of your boys (especially chase) is oh-so edible.

You are a great family that finds so many things to do even in the cold and without a car! I love your beanie. Little Chase is filling out and getting so much personality. Ben's hair is shorter but still cute. Only a great dad can sleep in public with a wiggly baby in his arms! I want to come see you all.

Your boys are so stinkin cute! So sorry to hear how cold it is but it looks like you're making the best of it. That pic of sleeping Dad and baby should get an award or something---or at least be sent to Regis and Kelly. Happy New Year!

I can't believe Chase is basically 1! Look at your boys! I feel like they are even bigger than a month ago. And do I see haircuts? Miss you guys--ESPECIALLY in the winter. First winter with out the Harris' isn't so fun...

Hey Ashley, we do live so close. I want to come up to NY a few more times before we move this summer. Barrett's wife, Lisa, wants to come out soon too. I'll let you know when we're coming. It would be fun to see you and your cute boys.

I can't believe Todd is sleeping with an awake child in his arms. Seriously?
