Missing Max

You were the best cousin and nephew we could ever have had! We will celebrate your life by trying to act and be like you. I have been trying to get Toby to cut his hair but he wants to grow it "as long as Max's." And right now, I can't argue with that. We love you so much. Thank you for giving my boys the best example of a good boy. Like Aunt Kim said, you were the perfect oldest cousin. They looked up to you in every way possible. You were the reason they are obsessed with Star Wars and Legos and why our cockatiel was named Max.

Oh how we prayed and prayed that night that Heavenly Father would let you stay on this Earth for a longer time, but we know now that this was when He needed you. We are so thankful for the time we did have with you and one day we will be together again. Until then we will remember you with every Lego set we build and Star Wars costume we put on.

Til we meet again sweet Max.

P.S. Toby and Ben would like to know if you've ridden a dinosaur in heaven yet.

I was looking for that picture of the kids in Ventura but couldn't find it. I'm so glad you posted it.

It was great hearing your voice today. Love you.

Tears well up once again. Max continues to lead us all closer to God with a firm reminder of why we are here. Like the Savior his example of gentleness, kindness and love endure as his legacy.

Well said, Ashley. We could say the same about our boys adoration of Max and their introduction to Legos & Star Wars.
