Last week I hopped on a plane with Toby, Ben, and Chase and flew from JFK (also known as the unhappiest place on Earth) to Long Beach. After a little battle with "Jenny from the block"-supervisor at the check in counter and using profanity in front of my Mother in-law (who counts "crap" as a cuss word), we made it through security and eventually onto the plane. Every person in the airport had some hand in helping me get to the plane. Except for "Jenny from the block." I'm not sure why people were so anxious to give up there seats around us for worse seats. A few even stood for the whole trip in the aisle in the front of the plane. Wouldn't you want to sit next to 3 screaming children and a mother on the verge? Actually the kids did surprisingly well for a 6 hour flight and we even got in an hour early so we lucked out.
We are in California for a few weeks staying with my parents in San Clemente. Todd will be training for his job for 4 weeks so we decided to give the Harrises a break and come terrorize my side of the family.
We jumped right in and went to Legoland one of our first days here and I fell in love with that place. It is such a great park for young kids. Toby and Ben were in heaven and could go on almost all of the rides.
We are hoping to meet up with old friends we haven't seen for awhile and pack in as much fun as possible before we go back home to New York. Here's to the good weather and jacked up trucks of Southern California!

I love my Mom in this one
